“You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress simultaneously”
I am guilty of not constantly updating this blog. Believe me, there’s so many things I want to share here. That’s definitely one thing I would need to improve on for the coming year. I will never get used to the fact whenever I hear from strangers (yes! strangers who I meet during workshops or events or a friend of a friend, etc) that they visit my blog and actually take time to browse around and read some of my thoughts in here. Not even my friends who I beg to visit my blog actually reads it. Hahahhahaha, I’m just kidding. I don’t have to beg them, I just promise them treats and sweets. Haha. Kidding again. You know I love you guys.
Seriously, I can’t remember the last time I got lost just writing. Souldeelight was first and foremost a space where I retreat and breathe out words. And then it became a photography space , and then a place where I share my calligraphy. And along the way, I’ve stepped back from writing. Took down old posts, and started fresh. Clean slate.
But I miss it. I miss drowning in words. I’ve always felt free penning down words. And I’ve always have this deep appreciation of beautifully stringed words. That’s why probably I love writing quotes and lyrics whenever I practice calligraphy and hand lettering.
Oh… I promise (to myself) to do better next year. And write more. And write better.
Anyway, here are some writings I did recently :).
xx,
Dee
