I was off to Cebu for a week plus for my sister’s graduation. Yay! Finally we have an Engineer in the Family. I imagine nothing but wonderful things for my one and only sib. I still remember being at that age, fresh out of college… and feeling like the world is mine for the taking. And being so absolutely sure that things will fall into place for me.
And I guess, things did fall into place for me, though a lot also fell through the cracks. Life throws us curve balls you know. And often times, when it does, it hurts likes hell. It scars us. It marks us. And it peels us layer by layer… and we discover that extra thread of strength hidden somewhere inside us. And we bounce back. Not over night. But over time.
Anyway, before I digress.
Next to my sister graduating, the highlight for me that day is that we were complete. A few years back, during my own graduation, my parents split up. I thought I won’t graduate because it affected me terribly. It affected me deeply. But God has other plans for my family. Fast forward and things slowly healed and broken hearts get mended. And my folks got back together, our home once again became a home.
And I stood up just as my sister’s name was called, and there standing with me are both my papa and mama. Cheering her on.
I believe, when God says YES, nobody can say no. No life curve-ball could ever defeat that.

And because I’ve been away, here’s a very late post on the last portrait shoot I did with Frockettes. I ALWAYS enjoy doing commissioned works for boutiques and clothing shops. Mainly because I’m a girly girl, and clothes make me smile.
And I am happy to note though that the quality of my clients products are actually quite good. Hahaha I do check on them in between takes while the models are changing to the next piece.
I hope you enjoy the photos I took for Frockettes, with the beautiful Sarah Olivia Hodgens. 🙂
